Product Description

In modern industrial and residential roofing, small-diameter penetrations, such as electrical conduits, solar thermal lines, and HVAC copper piping, present unique sealing challenges. Standard, oversized flashing boots fail to provide tight mechanical compression on small profiles, causing water ingress under heavy rain and high wind-driven pressures.

The YS-37 compact roof flashing is engineered to resolve this vulnerability, providing a robust, long-term seal for small penetrations ranging from 1/4" to 2-1/8" (5 mm to 55 mm).

Material Science & Engineering

The YS-37 utilizes a high-performance hybrid composition tailored to withstand harsh environmental conditions:

High-Durability Elastomeric Collar: Available in premium EPDM or High-Temp Silicone. The EPDM compound provides excellent resistance to UV-induced cracking and ozone exposure. The Silicone option is specifically designed to handle high-temperature HVAC lines up to 240°C.

Ductile Aluminum Base: A 135x135 mm soft-temper aluminum flange is molded around the outer edge. This allows the base plate to be hand-formed around profile peaks, valleys, or standing seams on metal roof systems.

Technical Specifications

Performance Limiters & Best Practices

When sealing the minimum 5 mm pipe range, proper cutting technique is critical. Installers must slice the cone perpendicular to the centerline, leaving a small undersized opening to maintain continuous physical compression around the conduit.

Frequently Asked Question:
When should the Silicone option be specified over EPDM?
Silicone should be chosen for high-temperature applications, such as solar thermal plumbing lines or hot exhaust vents, where operating temperatures exceed the 120°C limit of standard EPDM.
